Avison Young has brought to market a four-unit, state-of-the-art food production facility at 900 W. Cermak Road in Chicago, Illinois.

The 40,000-square-foot property was recently occupied by Foxtrot, which extensively renovated the facility in 2021 for use as their commissary kitchen. Steven Kohn, SIOR and Jay Maher, all based in Avison Young’s Chicago office, represent the owner.

The ready-built spaces include freezers, coolers, docks, drive-ins, heavy power, and additional on-site amenities. “Food production and distribution has been among the strongest tenants occupying the industrial market in Chicago in recent years, especially as food production and catering companies are constantly hunting for modern kitchen spaces which are well-located and flexible,” said Kohn.

Outfox Hospitality, the parent company of upscale convenience store chain Foxtrot and small-format grocer Dom’s Kitchen & Market, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, abruptly closing locations across the U.S.
