Suffrage is a funny word because most people think “suffer” but it’s actually a word that means “Voting with an absolute purpose”.
Our votes today hold a purpose with such weight that it’s sounding around the world as beacon of hope or dispare. I pray those that are elected do well by the people of the US.
2010 Elections
Times have changed indeed. This country was founded on a notion of freedom by those that didn’t have it. They respected the opportunity of helping create a new nation that at that point had few rules if any. It was risky, there was no welfare or health care. There was only a dream for those brave enough to stow away on the open sea. We exist because they worked hard for the dream that some day their children’s children would live full free lives. Now we squander, now we sit with our hands out saying “give me, give me”.
We need to do away with the notion that people can just live off the fat of government taxation. If you are an able body then you need to get in and help churn the machine. This helps everyone keep more money in their pockets for their families. The level of mud that has built up on such weakness has gunked the gears and now we are as inefficient as the cars we are trying to replace on the roads. The opportunity to work, dream, learn and become is a right given to all of us by God above. Live it, don’t squander it. Yes, you can start off at Burger King, get an education and become something great. You just need to get over the fascination of what’s pumped in our faces and ears by TV and radio. Turn it off and focus on yourself. I promise there is a very satisfying return when you do.
I understand that some people need support from the government. The disabled, the veterans, the elderly all truly need and deserve our love and support. But those that hide behind these honorable causes and take for themselves without contribution need to be vetted and those that support such measures with out removing such infection should never be re-elected. We as a nation hemorrhage cash in a way we can probably never truly fathom.
Running for office has grown wildly out of country as our politicians dip the barrel of ugly dispositions, denial, cynicisms and criticisms. Have we lost all honor, have we forgotten the purpose of our foundation? We have placed the importance of self above all else. A gluttony that we are being punished for. When George Washington was elected our first President he didn’t want it but he deserved it. Did his job and he handed the position back with honor and prestige. These days few of our politicians deserve their positions. Most are not even qualified. They sit in their seats waiting on fat pensions and lifetime health care. Our precious government that was created as a foundation to help people live free and boundless lives has become the overlord to our every intention. A government that is currently run by some of the lowest hanging fruit in the intellect spectrum.
Private enterprise made this country great but now it is held captive. It is no more an never ending resource for taxation than oil is as an energy reserve. Businesses need money, banks need to lend and governments only job is to foster these relationships with some sort of solid rules like the constitution use to be for our country.
The moral to the story, let’s remember what the United State of America is. Let’s work harder to clean up the mess. That starts with the child in school studying harder all the way up to the President refusing to give handouts to anyone that doesn’t deserve it and beholding to no one.
